#Run4NWLA
WHAT?
As part of our celebration of 100 years of service in Northwest Louisiana, United Way presents the #Run4NWLA Virtual Fun Run & 5K. We encourage runners and walkers to participate in this virtual race with a purpose! Register to run or walk your individualized 5K course with the option to join a corporate team or form a team of your own.
This event allows you, friends, family members, and colleagues to get active while making a difference in our community, no matter where you live. You get to be the decision-maker of where you would like your journey to begin and end. Your course can take you through your neighborhood, past a body of water, in front of your favorite local business, or through your favorite park. The top three runners with the best times in each age/gender division will be recognized and awarded.

United Way of Northwest Louisiana fights for the health, education, financial stability and essential needs of every person in Northwest Louisiana. Locally, United Way manages Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, 211, the Financial Empowerment Center, and SingleCare, formerly known as FamilyWize.
Prize Opportunities for Participants
We would like to acknowledge and award our top 3 runners in their age/gender division, as well as our young runners.
- Cash prizes for top finishers in each gender and age division
- Commemorative medals to the top three finishers in each gender and age division
- All participants age 10 and younger will receive a commemorative medal
- The corporate team with the most participants will receive social media acknowledgment and be featured on a digital billboard for 30 days.
WHO?
This virtual event is open to individuals of all ages! The age divisions are as follows
• Male: 11-18, 19-30, 31-42, 43-54, 55 and over
• Female: : 11-18, 19-30, 31-42, 43-54, 55 and over
When?
Race Date
The race begins Saturday, June 5th starting at 8 a.m. and will conclude at 5 p.m. Join us as we #Celebrate100 and #Run4NWLA
Registration Deadlines
Register by May 26th and receive a #Run4NWLA SWAG Bag. Registration will remain open until June 5th, but SWAG Bags will not be included.
SWAG Bag Pick-Up & Pre-Game
Curbside SWAG bag pick-up for this race will be located in the parking lot in front of 820 Jordan St, Shreveport, LA 71101 on Friday, June 4th, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Bring your smiles and appetite as you prepare for the pre-game! Music, food trucks, and a photo booth will be onsite for you and your teammates to enjoy.
HOW?
Course Limits
To be considered for awards, the 5K course limit is 1 hour. To finish within these time limits, runners and walkers must maintain a pace of approximately 20 minutes per mile. Official finishing times are recorded through 1 hour.
Certifying Your Run Time
To be considered for awards, you will need to submit your race time results on RunSignup.com. Navigate to the menu bar on the website, and look for the “Results” tab. This is where you will submit your race time. Participants must also send a photo of their timer with their time to katie@unitedwaynwla.com for verification.

To be considered for an award, all running times must be submitted by 5:00PM(CST) on race day on RunSignup.com.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for the #Run4NWLA Virtual Fun Run & 5K covers one race day t-shirt and race bib.

When registering for the United From Home Fun Run & 5K, individuals can choose from two different entry levels.
The items you receive in your SWAG bag will be based on the entry level chosen. The entry levels are as follows:

Teams of 20+ are eligible to purchase “The Pacestter” Group package that allows a group of 20 to sign up for the discounted rate of $1,800 with all individuals receiving Level Up Club benefits.

LEVEL UP CLUB
Want to make an even larger impact? Level up your registration fee by joining the Level-Up Club and receive a fully loaded SWAG bag along with your t-shirt and race bib. By joining the Level-Up Club racers will increase their impact on our community. Additional proceeds raised from Level-Up Club registrations will benefit local children across Northwest Louisiana. Each Level-Up Club registration will sponsor an at-home library for a child from birth to age five through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL).
Local data demonstrates that only fifty-two percent of children in Northwest Louisiana enter kindergarten prepared. DPIL is helping our community’s youngest children foster a love for reading and prepare them for kindergarten success at zero cost to the child’s family because of supporters like you!
As a Level Up Club member, your name and company will be featured on our website and included in a special “Thank You” social media post following the race.

Send in a photo of your child to paige@unitedwaynwla.org on race day, and they will be featured on the “Kids Corner” page on our website.
Show Us Your Spirit
For this event we would like for you to show us your spirit before and during the race! Share with us how you are getting prepared and training for the impactful day on social media. Furthermore, show us your spirit by wearing your most fun, festive, and comfortable running gear. Take photos and videos during your run or walk and let us know how it’s going. Share your progress on social media and be sure to tag us (@unitedwaynwla), and use hashtags #Celebrate100 and #Run4NWLA.
