Paige Melton is the Communication Coordinator for United Way of Northwest Louisiana. She is responsible for organizing and helping create content for our social media platforms. She also works to inform the public on upcoming events, volunteering, donation opportunities, and more by producing e-newsletters, filming and editing videos, and blogging.
While Paige was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, she has called the Shreveport-Bossier City area home since she was young. She graduated from Louisiana State University Shreveport in the Fall of 2019 with her Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications with a focus in public relations. Additionally, she has an Associate of Applied Science degree from Bossier Parish Community College in Communication Media. While in school, Paige worked in a local resale shop, Uptown Cheapskate, for five years as a social media coordinator and key holder. She gained knowledge about managing posts across several social media platforms, use strategic thinking to increase interaction, and coordinate weekly uploads to ensure organization and attractiveness. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she became the Communication Intern for United Way of NWLA. Soon after, she started her full-time position as Communications Coordinator.
In her free time, Paige enjoys all things that allow her to be creative. She loves high fashion photography and photo editing. She also has had a passion for art from a young age. Her favorite mediums and styles are abstract painting, line art drawings, portrait drawings, and digital art.
