Community Engagement & Creative Coordinator
Harper McKnight is the Community Engagement & Creative Coordinator for United Way of Northwest Louisiana. She is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Volunteer Center and is our in-house graphic designer. Her position includes coordinating volunteer events and facilitating volunteer projects with United Way’s corporate partners. Additionally, she utilizes brand standards provided by United Way Worldwide and her creativity to bring unique visuals for every department at UWNWLA.
Harper grew up in McLeod, TX and moved to Bossier City after graduating high school. She wanted to live somewhere that offered new opportunities that couldn’t be found in her small town, and she wanted to be able to help people while pursuing those opportunities. With that in mind, she pursued internships in the nonprofit field as a college student. She became a Resource Development Intern at UWNWLA in Fall 2019. She was elated when asked to join the Community Impact Department after graduating with her Bachelors in Mass Communication. Harper has always known she wanted to help create change for those who need help, and she feels like she has taken the first step by joining UWNWLA.
When she’s not at work, Harper can be found traveling or spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs.
