notes of encouragement
Life is full of challenges, and sometimes we all need to be encouraged. Our virtual notes of encouragement are sent to community members who are facing life’s challenges head-on with the help of a local nonprofit. Your words can give someone the push they need to keep going!
HEY VOLUNTEERS!
We’re glad you’re here to help. Our notes of encouragement projects are easy, affordable, and one you can do from home by yourself, with friends, or family.
There are two ways to participate:
MAKE PHYSICAL CARDS AT HOME
Volunteers can make notes of encouragement by decorating plain cards and envelopes, decorating index cards, using construction paper, or whatever their heart desires! Volunteers are encouraged to embrace their creative side as with most of our projects.
We are currently collecting notes of encouragement for two organizations.
Guidelines for Girl Scouts: Pines to the Gulf
Notes of encouragement will be sent to Girl Scouts (ages 5-17) who were affected by Hurricane Laura. Focus on positive and uplifting language!
Guidelines for Community First High School
Notes of encouragement will be sent to Community First High School Students to encourage them to continue pursuing their goal of earning their HiSet (High School Equivalency Test) Diploma. Messages should include positive language, such as uplifting quotes, and be gender neutral.
Handmade notes can be delivered in-person to our office located at 820 Jordan St., Suite 370, Shreveport, LA 71101.
SUBMIT A NOTE OF ENCOURAGEMENT ONLINE
Volunteers can conveniently select one of three fun postcards and submit their message of encouragement online by clicking the button below. These postcards will be printed and delivered to students at the organization(s) of the volunteer’s choice. Volunteers can submit as many notes of encouragement as they like!
