Why Fight for Education?

For many school-aged children in northwest Louisiana, receiving brand new school supplies is the equivalent of receiving renewed confidence. The latest ALICE report shows an average 52 percent of Northwest Louisiana families struggling to make ends meet – many struggling to afford basic needs like food and safe housing.

We want our students to enjoy learning but it’s hard to do that when you don’t have the right supplies. A brand new backpack with unused school supplies will create a foundation of learning. These supplies will help NWLA children become the educated future contributors our communities need.

YOUR IMPACT

You’re not just making a donation, you’re changing a life by preparing a child to start the school year off right. Since 2016, you helped us provide more than 5,040 backpacks and supplies to children in Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Red River and Natchitoches parishes at a value of nearly $60,000. We hope to serve more children this school year in more parishes, but first, the children need your help. Back-to-school season is impossible without you.
Will you fight for a local child’s education? Please help fill a backpack for a northwest Louisiana student today.
