When it comes to volunteerism, this company is definitely HANDS-ON!
In their local community of Natchitoches, LA, there was a need for a community garden at a local after school program facility. They pulled weeds, plotted soil, planted the seeds and built trellises to help the plants grow upward. Upon completing this project, they discovered that another local agency needed six raised beds to start a community garden for their elderly clients.
Here is where it gets interesting, this group purchased the wood, soil, seeds and equipment needed to haul all of this to the agency. They put together all six beds, planted the seeds and now the clients will be reaping the harvest year-round. Their volunteer effort has saved local non-profits $1,636.92 in labor alone!
